Gymkhana le Dragon

Educational game. Gymkhana the dragon haunts a river. His tale is so long that it sometimes floats on the surface of the water and can resurface anywhere to prevent the imps from reaching the opposite bank. So, you have to be crafty to get across the river by positioning tree trunks between the rocks without attracting Gymkhana’s attention. An abstract version of this game format won the As d’Or – or Golden Ace - for the best game of strategy at the Cannes International Game Festival in
1993, and the Good Toy Award in London in 1992. Created by Tom Mc Namara, this game was redesigned in 2009 by Véronique Debroise so that the strategy could be understood readily by young children while still allowing more experienced strategists to enjoy this fast-moving and
subtle game!
