Bougies Totem

Thanks to the content in the box, you will be able to make beautiful colored wax overlays to decorate your candles. This DIY kit has all the elements to make different shapes. There will be nothing more to add.

Follow the manual steps one by one.

The stages of preparation

1. Take the wax and pour it into a beaker. Note that a filled beaker will allow you to make two shapes.
2. Use an electric plate over low heat to allow the intended amount of wax to melt.
3. The wax should not exceed 70°C. Quick tip: Soak a stainless steel spoon for 3 seconds; a deposit of wax should appear on the spoon. If not, it means that the wax is too hot.
4. Once the wax is ready, add the colorants out of fire on a pro rata basis; you have all the instructions for creating your most beautiful colors in the manual. Pour the wax into the molds you have chosen. You don’t have to fill them onto the edges; it will give a finer effect to your shapes.
5. It will take at least 2 hours for the wax to harden in the molds. Unmold the wax shapes.
6. With a knife, you can scrape off any irregularities if necessary.
7. Form your totem around a candle. If you want to keep the shapes, you will have to remove them as soon as the flame approaches it.

Warning: Be careful not to overheat the wax. If it overheats, it can self-ignite. To do this, keep the heater on the smallest thermostat and monitor the melting. Remove the wax from the heater immediately once it has melted. Do not let a candle burn unattended. Avoid contact of products with the body, especially mouth and eyes. In case of contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes, immediately rinse with soap and water. In the event of a burn, immediately place the affected area under cold running water for at least 15 minutes. Consult a doctor if necessary.
