Pierre-Auguste Renoir, known as Auguste Renoir, was born on 25 February 1841 in Limoges (Haute-Vienne) and died on 3 December 1919 at the Collettes estate in Cagnes-sur-Mer. He is one of the most famous French Impressionist painters.
This oil on canvas painting was produced in 1881 (dimensions 54 × 65 cm) and is now kept at the Williamstown, S.& F.Clark Art Institute in the United States.
